My name is Cortez Harris and I’m from Milwaukee,
Wisconsin. I graduated from RIT/NTID in 2019 with a
B.S degree in Criminal Justice. While I was on campus I
was part of many clubs and key organizations. I served
as the President of the Ebony Club, I was also a
member of MOCHA (Men of Color, Honor, and Ambition)
and I also worked for NTID’s Student Life Team summer
camp/ programs as the summer director and year-round
positions.

I was part of the NBDA CBDSLI program in 2018 and I
truly gained a lot from it. I have tremendous experience
in working with the youth and I firmly believe that the
future is solely in their hands. I believe that they need
guidance, mentorship, encouragement, and some
positive reinforcements for them to have a sense of
direction and knowledge on how to lead beyond
measures.

I am invested in helping my community the best way I
can and I am truly excited to work as the Y.E.S director.
