White House Invited NBDA President to Commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act
NBDA President Ernest Garrett received an invitation from Mr. Kareem A. Dale - Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement & Special Assistant to the President for Disability Policy - to attend the White House Commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act that took place on July 26, 2010. Dr. Khadijat Rashid Appointed to White House Fellows 2010-2011
Dr. Khadijat Rashid, a member of the Gallaudet faculty and chair of the Department of Business, is among the 13 outstanding men and women appointed to serve as White House Fellows for the upcoming academic year - September 1-August 30. She is the first deaf person to be named a White House Fellow.

NBDA Joins Airline Passenger Rights for Accessible In-Flight Video
NBDA is among supporting organizations in conjunction with the Association for Airline Passenger Rights (AAPR) sent a national sign-on letter to Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood asking U.S. Department of Transportation to require accessibility of in-flight video entertainment.
